Today, I am participating in BooMama's Virtual Holiday Home Tour. I love home tours and have always wanted my home to be on a holiday one, so I am very glad to be participating today! So, without further adieu, let the show begin!
Welcome to our humble abode! I can never convince the hubby to put Christmas lights on the roof and eaves of our home, but I was able to persuade him to help me (or do most of the work) in putting these lights around our window, arch and garage. (Hint: to get the lights to stick to the brick, we used hot glue! So EASY!)
Here is a closer view of our "North Pole" scene. We usually put lights in all of the shrubs and around the trunks of the trees as well, but because we went to Disney this year in the beginning of December, I wanted to forgo the extra work. It probably would have looked good though.
Here is the "H" wreath that hangs on our front door. Our last name begins with an H. I put red berries in it and red lights operated by batteries.
We have seven trees in our home. I love Christmastime, so I decided to put a tree in every room. Each one matches the room that it occupies.
Notice the sign as you come through the door. This is our motto for the season and all year long!
This is the tree in our formal living/dining room. I call it the gold tree. Of all of my trees, it is the most elusive. As much as I love putting all of these decorations out, this tree presses my decorating buttons! I can't figure it out, but for some reason I am never satisfied with this tree. I really like unusual and unique things in my trees, so this year I added picture frames at the suggestion of my mom. Thanks Mom! I think it looks much better this year.
Here is a closer look at some of the stuff in our tree. I included frames in all different shapes and sizes of our families and loved ones! And, there is another H! Obviously, I still need to fill in some of the empty frames. That has since been done.

This is our holiday centerpiece on our formal dining table.
Here is our small, sentimental tree. It has all of our special ornaments on it. Though it is small, it is one of my favorite trees because of its fun colors and the memories that each ornament possesses. It is small because there are not enough special ornaments to fill a large tree yet. But one day, I hope to have a tall tree full of special ornaments. And, I hope to remember the story of every ornament on that big tree! Also, here is that MacKenzie Childs Tree Skirt!
As you enter the kitchen, notice the Merry Christmas sign overhead as you walk under the plant ledge.
Here is our kitchen tree. I put a lot of little cooking utensils on this tree since it sits in our kitchen. It is hard to see, but there are wooden spoons, small graters, whisks, measuring spoons, cookie cutters, and other spoons. In this pic, you also get a view of the door hanging that I hang on our pantry as well as the snowman that I put on the back of the chairs at our kitchen table.
This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations. My mom bought it for me last year and it sits on our kitchen island along with my Christmas sweets plate.
Here is a cute little chalkboard that sits in our kitchen. It sits in front of another H.
Here is our family room tree. I love leopard and wanted to incorporate it into my Christmas decorations. I matched the red and green ornaments to the curtain fabric in this room, and then threw in splashes of leopard in the ornaments, ribbon, tree skirt and wrapping paper. I love the whimsical feel of this tree!
Here is our mantle with stockings. There are splashes of leopard here too!
Here is a makeshift fireplace screen. I didn't have a place to hang this ceiling tile, and I had a spare red easel, so I made a fireplace screen for the holidays!
Here is a leopard rug that sits at our backdoor.
This is a wooden reindeer that my father in law made. Didn't he do a great job?!?!

Here is a little vignette that sits on a table near our backdoor. You can also see some santas that I have displayed. One is a "Harley Santa" because my husband has a Harley. The other is a Texas Tech Santa.
Here is another cute little snowman rug that leads to our bedroom.
Here is our master bedroom tree. I tried to match some of it to the fabric in our master bedroom curtains and duvet. Since the fabric has a floral print, I wanted this tree to be a more "natural" feeling tree. So, I used grapevine, berries, raffia, burlap, dried looking roses, poinsettias, eucalyptus, wicker and moss balls, crystal pears and apples, and some wooden signs. I really like the way this tree turned out.
Here is the tree that sits in our pink guest room, complete with a pink feather boa.
Last, but certainly not least, is Rhett's tree. I am not happy with the outcome of this tree. It has rope balls, twine, wooden anchors, a fishing reel and some fishing bobbers. I put some leftover fabric that I used in his bedding as a tree skirt. This is a tree that I will keep in mind throughout my shopping endeavors over the next year and hopefully it will be much cuter next year. Since this picture, I have added blue ribbon and a blue plaid bow, but still not happy.
