First day of preschool

Rhett had his first official day of preschool yesterday!  His school began classes on Tuesday, but we were on a little family vacation, so yesterday was his first day.  I wanted to make the transition easy, and make him feel really special, so he wouldn't be sad, so I planned some special "treats" for his big day!

I have enjoyed reading blogs over the past year where the mommies do a theme for each school lunch, so I thought I'd try my hand at it:
This lunch, obviously, was fish themed.  It consisted of a fish-shaped note (which I read to him before we left),

and a fish-shaped PB&J sandwich, goldfish crackers, Finding Nemo fruit snacks, carrots cut into fish, and some grapes inside a fish-shaped container.
I did a little decorating, and served one of his favorite breakfasts for his first big day!

Daddy giving him an early-morning pep-talk!
Checking out his surprise!
My big handsome boy:
The backpack is bigger than he is!
Such a big boy now!
Doing it all on his own!
His "spot"
Didn't seem to care that Mommy was leaving
Cousin Dylan is in his class!
After school surprise;
Cupcakes on his special plate and a few fun trinkets
He was so excited!
Checking out his surprise
What a great day!

3 Months!

Our baby girl turned three whole months old on September 5th!  She is such a joy and blessing to our family.  We love her so!
