Pumpkin Patch

We went to our local pumpkin patch today. It always looks so fun and I have always wanted to go. My husband said not until we had kids, so now that we have one, I had to go there this fall! It is free to enter, has free hayrides, mazes, bounce houses, and photo ops. Only the pumpkins and food cost money. So, a free, fun time was had by all. We got some great pics of Rhett's first pumpkin patch experience and I hope to go back year after year. They have a Christmas tree farm, and they give away free hot chocolate, hayrides and apple cider. I can't wait to go to that as well! Here is a pic from today's fun time! For some reason, this is the only one I can get to load.

Rhett's belly fit perfectly in the little alcove where the stem should be!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Fall is the greatest time of the year (next to Christmas). We love football, more specifically, The Dallas Cowboys. We also love Texas Tech football on the college end. Since our undergrad alma mater has no football team, we will have to pledge true to Tech being that the hubby is an alumni and all! Anyway, Tech blew away their opponent today, and we expect the Cowboys to do the same tomorrow. Here are some pics of my sweet baby supporting our favorite teams. Who knows, maybe one day he will be playing for one of them! How 'bout them Red Raiders?!?!

My little Romo-sapien :)

Woooooo

This morning as I was getting ready, I heard a loud "wooooo" over the monitor. No crying, no other noises, just "woooo". This is not an abnormal noise for Rhett to make, but it is so early in the morning. This is a noise he makes when he is happy or excited. So, I went into his room and there he lay, smiling and happy to see me. That just melted my heart! The rest of the day continued pretty much the way it started for Rhett, all smiles, happy and lots of "woooo"'s. Life is good! I didn't get a picture of my baby's first smile of the day (because I am still new to this blogging thing, I forget to take my camera everywhere I go). However, I did take a few shots of the rest of our day. Enjoy!

Look at those precious flip flops! Look at that sweet smile!

At the end of the day, he got to hang out with Daddy and all of his toys!

Then, as another nice surprise, Mawmaw and Granddaddy came by to see Rhett!

Rhett's expression says it all.

WHAT A GREAT DAY!

Harvest

So, since everyone else is posting pictures of their fall decor, I figured I would post of little bit of mine. I have a lost box somewhere in the attic. I have really, really got to find it. Right now, I have a display of pumpkins that is supposed to say "BOO". But, all I can find is "BO".

I got these chandelier globes at Market in Dallas about two years ago. I have Christmas trees too!

This little guy greets everyone in our hallway. He has a bowl full of candy in his arms!

This wreath hangs on my pantry door. After Halloween, I hang up a turkey for Thankgiving, and then Candy Canes at Christmas.

I love this little pillow.

These are on our chairs around the kitchen table. There are also 2 ghosts. They look like they are having a spooky dinner party. I got these several years ago and I still love them.

There is more, but it is not as pretty as all of the vignettes displayed out in blogland, so I will not post. Plus, I have a 3 month old, so I am decorating in between feedings, diaper changes and naps!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!!!!!!!

First Post

Ok, so here is my first post...
After much encouragement from family and friends, and not wanting to be left out, I have decided to create a blog. I am not too clever, so don't expect too much. Just a lot of pictures of my baby boy and maybe some other fun stuff from time to time. Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy yourselves. Oh, and here is a recent picture of Rhett, just for good measure.
