What do you do when stuck inside all week?

You don't clean and organize to your heart's content... not me anyway!
YOU:

1.) Stay in your pj's til' noon watching Smokey and the Bandit (we have a slight obsession with things that have wheels).
2.) You think it's a good idea to make a pallet in the kitchen floor.
3.) You then think it's an even better idea to put a butterfly net over your head and run around the house with it.
4.) You make snow ice cream!

5.) You play around with the Christmas present your husband got you that you hadn't even taken out of the box yet, and make cute things:

***
6.) You lounge around again in your pj's, this time in mom and dad's room watching more TV than any human should!
7.) Your mom thinks this will be a good week to teach you how to completely dress yourself, so we give it a go... and you wear your pants backwards on the first day!
8.) You let your house become toy tornado alley:

***
9.) You wrap valentine's gifts and your husband's birthday gifts even though they're both a week and a half away!

***
10.) You try inventive ways to make your child eat
11.) Finally on Friday, the sun comes out and you can go play in the snow!
12.) You make your first snow angel:

13.) And have snowball fights with your daddy!

And, that is how we survived the Arctic Tundra of 2011 that paralyzed Dallas/Ft. Worth for 4 days!

It's been a while

It's been a while... too long actually, since I have updated this blog. So, here is a quick recap of what we've been doing over the last month-ish, in pictures:

Beginning at the end of November/beginning of December:

We went to Northpark and attended their Train exhibit:
It was a hit with Rhett!

They had mini versions of many Dallas landmarks:
The Stock Yards:
The Cotton Bowl:

Fort Worth:

Reunion Tower:

Fair Park and Big Tex:

I attended a Christmas cookie exchange and this was my display container:
(I won most creative display!)

Rhett decorated his own tree this year:
(In all honesty, it doesn't look much worse than when I decorate it!)

We went out to lunch one day and Rhett INSISTED on wearing his football helmet during the meal. I think he was still hoping for the Cowboys to turn it around and make the wildcard!:
(They didn't, but he made some people laugh!)
We celebrated Grandaddy's birthday on Christmas eve morning:

We made Reindeer food (and other tasty treats, as Rhett called them):

We celebrated Christmas Eve with my family (sadly, this is the only pic I got).
Putting out the Reindeer food so Santa's Reindeer will have a snack when they land:

Santa came:

And we were SO excited:
We celebrated Christmas day with Jeremy's family:
(And tried to get a decent family pic)

Take 2:

Take 3:
Rhett was SO excited (again):

January came and we played in the leaves at MawMaw's house with Cousin Luke:

We had a snow day:

And built a (mini) snowman:

And had our very own version of a human snowman:

We went on a train ride with Dida and PawPaw:
Jeremy had to go to San Antonio for work, so we tagged along:

While there, we visited the Children's Museum:

And frequented many restaurants on the Riverwalk:

Which brings us to today... February 1st, and another SNOW DAY in Texas! Last week, it was near 80 degrees and now we aren't getting out of the teens/twenties! Hopefully I will be better at keeping this little ol' blog updated in the coming months! Big things are upcoming including my 30th birthday. Not sure how I feel about that one. I'm holding tight to my 20's for 2 more weeks! We signed Rhett up for Preschool yesterday, so be looking for many updates and about that... and lots of sadness from this mama because my baby boy is growing up too fast!

Now my blog is updated, and you're welcome, PK! hahaha!
